Global and U.S. definitions are not identical
The U.S. page uses EIA’s weekly U.S. field production of crude oil series. This global page uses EIA’s international “total oil” production ranking basis for cross-country comparability. That means the U.S. and global pages are closely related, but not perfect apples-to-apples crude-only series.
